  I had a terrible time with these plasterers. They gave me a quotation for rendering my house with a high tech external render system and arranged for an agent of the manufacturer to come out and explain how the system worked. It all sounded brilliant and I was told by the manufacturer that the system would be guaranteed for 25 years. Having agreed to his doing the job Dave Bond asked me to buy the materials direct from the manufacturer which I naively agreed to, not realising that I was probably compromising the guarantee, he then continued to ask for cash payments rather than recorded transactions. I had massive problems getting him to turn up at the times he'd agreed to. Part way through the job he increased the price by 25%. I have never had the guarantee off him and he never finshed the job properly. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him on one of those cowboy builders programmes one of these days - 'avoid' and 'plague' come to mind!
